Anna University is one of the largest technical universities located in the state of Tamil Nadu. The university is structurally divided into four separate colleges or institutions, all of them located in the state of Tamil Nadu.

At present, Anna University offers various courses at UG, PG and Doctorate level. Application form can be filled online except for MBA, MCA, MS by Research and Ph.D. courses for which the application forms are required to be submitted to the university. All decisions regarding seat allotment, counselling and fee payment are the sole responsibility of Controller of Examination (COE).

• BE/ B.Tech and B.Arch admission is subject to candidates� merit in Tamil Nadu Engineering Admission (TNEA) process which includes choice locking and final seal allotment.
• NATA qualified candidates are also eligible to apply for B.Arch program.
• Candidates have to qualify in Tamil Nadu Common Entrance Test (TANCET) to secure admission to ME/ M.Tech/ M.Arch/ M.Plan/ MBA and MCA courses. Final admission is subject of Tamil Nadu Common Admission (TANCA) counselling process.
• Students seeking admission to ME/ M.Tech courses on the basis of GATE score are also eligible. Such candidates need not appear in TANCET.
