We met the authorities there and entered in to the studio. Then they took us to the studio where they conduct gathering program. they gave us some technical information about the position of lights i.e. backlight, front or key light & kill Light and cameras, as they are the most important part of their programme. Then they showed us the working of control room. Then we were taken to Audio control room where he showed us the audio console, from which they control the audio signals by altering the frequencies of sound.
The Mega Online International Guest Lecture 2020 was organised by various Department of Engineering in PGP College of Engineering and Technology, Namakkal. The event was held from 09.10.2020 to 24.10.2020. Totally, 16 events were organised. The session was honoured by Guest Speakers from India, USA, Singapore, Dubai, London, and Oman. The event was registered by 151 participants from various colleges and industries. There were 120 students (UG/PG), 26 faculties and 05 industrial persons.
The online session was conducted through Google Meet. The sessions started with the welcome speech by the Heads of the respective departments and the felicitation address was given by Dr. V. Kavitha, Principal, PGPCET.
Mr. M. Ganapathy, Correspondent, PGPEWS and Dr. K. Periyasamy, Dean (AA), PGPEI interacted with the guest and honoured them.
Both technical and non-technical events were conducted. The interaction between the students and the guest went very well and various question relate were answered in each event. The guests were honoured with the appreciation letters. Through this program, students and all participants received more valuable information which will led them for their carrier development.
The organisers and the committee members thank the management for providing a great opportunity to conduct the program. They also thank the participants for giving a wonderful participation. Finally, on behalf of the management and participants, we thank the guest speakers.
The organic farming using hyperbolics method was initiated by Mr. C. Sathiyavel, Assistant Professor / Dept., of ECE. Students from are the project team members for this IoT based Organic Farming using Hyperbolics Method. The first stage started with the mechanical and civil construction for making the basic structure. Here, iron material (square type) was used for the structures. The whole structure dimension is 10x5x4 feet was constructed by welding process. The 75mm diameter PVC pipe were used for the farming with various fittings. A hole of 40mm diameter for placing the plastic cups were drilled. The holes were drilled with an equal spacing of 30cm. A 50 litre storage tank is used for the water supply using 3V-6V water pump motor for pumping a rate of 80-120 litre of water per hour.
A mixture of Vermi-composite and coco peat mixture kept at the sunlight for 5 days was filled in the plastic cups and placed at the wholes of the farming PVC pipe. The tomato speed and spinach speeds were filled such that, the composite is loose over the seeds and tight under the speeds at the bottom. The plant is expected to grow out from the composite at a period of 20 days.

Twenty days after sowing the seeds, the plant growth was seen above the composite. An adequate amount of water will be supplied to the plant daily. The twenty days growth of the plantation was monitored and observed that the height of the plant was 15 cm and the length of the root was 10 cm. An IoT system was connected using GSM module to monitor the temperature, water pH value, humidity and regular water flow. The level sensor is used to measure the water level and the pH value is measured through pH sensor. The motor for pumping the water will be turned ON whenever the desired range of value is not achieved.
On the sixtieth day, both the spinach and the tomato plant was found growing healthy. The IoT controlled system worked fine and the results on the control of the plant growing factors allowed a healthy environment for the plant. The organic farming can be extended in a large area for healthy farming and can be used for the daily usage. This initiative of Mr. Sathiyavel and his team creates an awareness of starting organic farming at our homes for a healthy life.
Mini Marathon was conducted on 25.03.2018 for the awareness on water conversation. The mini marathon was conducted for a distance of 5 km from Paramthi to PGP Campus.
One day National Level Hands- on training in Internet of Things is conducted by the centre for Excellence in IOT on 20.09.18.
Morning session is handled by the resource person from Fablabz,Coimbatore under the guidance of Mr.D.Prasannaa Kumar and afternoon session handled by Mr.C.Sathiyavel AP/ECE
Totally 82 (49 External +33 Internal) Students attended the training.

The inaugural of ISSC 2018 was held in PGP College of Engineering and Technology for the two days program.
On 28.05.2022, our college celebrated its Annual Day Program in our college open auditorium. On this special day, Mr.A.Pari IPS and Ms.Sadna Sankar Actress Baranatya exponent were our chief guest. Parents of all the students were also invited on this day. Our college open auditorium was completely decorated with lights and flowers. The program was inaugurated by lighting the lamp at the hands of Mr.A.Pari & Chairman sir . Simultaneously, Correspondent sir, Dean sir, Vice President sirs and principal mam, senior-most teachers also lit the lamp. The cultural show began with prayer. After that, one by one, the students of different classes performed various programs. Students from all course participated in this program.
